Christopher Bednarowicz
Christopher Bednarowicz has been a principal of SWWB Ltd. since 1993. Architectural studies at the University of Illinois, Chicago and Unite Pedagogique d’Architecture in Versaillle, France led to receiving a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1978. He has been a licensed architect in Illinois since 1983 and in Wisconsin since 1985. He is also certified with the NCARB.
Chris is well known for his hands-on approach that allows him to bring in many of the most challenging projects on time and within budget. He has 14 years of educational facilities design experience in new building and existing building rehabilitation projects for the Chicago Public Schools (44 projects). Additionally, Chris has extensive experience in multi-unit apartment renovations and housing design for the elderly, and has also completed commercial and business facilities for cinemas (130 screens), banks and restaurants. He received the National Trust/HUD Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation for the renovation of the Belle Shore Apartments in 1999.
Due to his extensive experience and knowledge of commercial building system design and construction, Chris has successfully coordinated projects with innovative and cost effective solutions. He brings the highest level of quality in design, construction, code compliance and cost control.
