Residence 1 Lake Bluff, Illinois
Set on a 45-x-25-foot lot in Lake Bluff, a northshore Chicago suburb, this 2,900 square-foot house is designed on a tight city lot and creates an appealing side entry and de-emphasizes the garage on the street façade. The dining room and foyer are directly linked. This allows the dining room to become the focal point of the entry, the most visible part of the home when guests enter. This is the first residence designed by Chuck Bassett while principal of TCI Design.Completed in 1990.
